I would like to start by agreeing with Kornharber (2017) when he said that it makes sense that due to the falling of church attendance and talk of widespread spiritual crisis, fiction may be coming in to give some of the imaginative comfort that religion has long provided and yet the new visions of things hoped for and not seen, as fits the era, presume to be grounded in knowledge rather than in faith. I find it very interesting to note that the sci-fi issues that kombarber discussed in the Atlantic article bares a remembrance some of the religious concept such as resurrection , reincarnation and the existence of another world such heaven, supreme beings such angels and God, with the exception that unlike in religion sci-fi is indeed rooted in knowledge while religion on the other hand is rooted in faith.

Now, coming to Charles simic's surrealist metaphysics article, I find the concept of the tendency or the need of humans to understand God in human terms very interesting because I have personally being on a personal research to know or understand who God is and the answers I have being running into so far are pointing to a description of God in very humanistic terms.

I come across a you tube video of a debate where the motion was is God a figment of our imagination? between Dr. Michael Shermer and Alister Mcgrath, (2017). Dr. Michael Shermer made a striking statement he said if humans had an encounter with God or how would they have be able to tell that the being was God? He argued that it is possible that we would not know because God would be more advanced than us humans.

These statements among others by Dr. Sheremer made me look at the whole concept of God and hence life from a totally different angle. Needless, to say, it left me with more questions than answers.

In my culture there are also all sorts of myths about God and the meaning of life which ends up with ancestral worship. In fact in my culture there is more than one God. Strange beliefs abound such as the existence of another world in a spiritual form is one of them. Where there is a belief that people who die exist in a spiritual form and they can have an influence on the happenings of the physical world and the living and that hey must be appeased by sacrifices and certain ceremonies in order for the living to gain their favour and live in peace and prosperity

No, I don't think Bruno could kill his grandfather. As mentioned in the video itself, time travel is technologically inconsistent today. It has never been heard of anywhere in the world that humans have successfully developed the technology ta travel in time. It seems absurd or wishful thinking. But, I am opened mind and alive to the fact that many discoveries of mankind seems absurd 50 or a 100 years ago. So, will not be surprised if we somehow invert it in future. In fact one thing I am sure of is that some things which used to be miracles or impossible in the past have become the normal or the possibilities of today. I am looking forward to hear from my classmates on this one and learn. The only place where I have seen time travel is on the movies and like everyone enjoy watching movies and sci-fi but I don't believe everything I see in the movies. I must confess that am a firm believer of science and technology because it has evidently improved human life in many expects including; travel, safety, communication and health in tremendous way but, I think that sci-fi leaves much to be desired at the moment, and I will remain a sceptic until is see tangible evidence of it's practicality.
