My Desire to Become a Newspaperman

“Self-Belief and hard work will always earn you success” Is what my father quoted me... And it was only in 1984 to where I was 17 not having any self-belief in what work really meant… It was really hard for me to earn money and to get a job because for me getting a house it would cost me a fortune! As I was trying to find a job I got my own apartment and I needed a well-paid job to pay my rent… As I'm riding my bike I see a wanted sign for newspaper boys I was nearly a young adult so I still had that energy… I asked the manager that I would like to be a newspaper boy and he said to me.

The next day comes by and It's the first day of my job being a newspaper boy and I look at the clock and I'm already late for one of the easiest jobs that I can get in my town! As I go to my manager's office he looks at me strangely and he doesn't look happy! But my manager had a terrible disease and he couldn't work at all and so I was wondering what he actually had and when he came back to my office he told me “I have some good news and some bad news…

” I wanted to get straight into the good news so I quickly told him “I would like to hear the good news first…” He said well me and the other managers were thinking of promoting you into a manager since I have to retire being a manager because what we see is a young self-believable man urging to get things done…” I said well what's the bad news? He said someone is going to take your place on being a production artist but I really didn't care since I heard that I was going to be a manager so he needed my approval of getting promoted so I said of course! After my first day of being a manager, I will still know those people who have encouraged me on having self-belief in myself...
