What mark twain says in his quotes mean that true education is not merely learn through a textbook, and the way to proves that somebody truly learn something is not through a test. That the old way. This way was invented during the industrial revolution, and since then nothing has changed.

There is a man named by Howard Gardner. He came up with a theory of multiple intelligences. He states that their are people that are visual learner, kenitentic learner. People that learn through the ear, and are school system reduces to except that. To create a educational system that only prefers one type of learning. Is insane. All of your gift that you have acquired are being thrown into the trash. One thing that every counselor or teacher should tell their student is that, even though you fail a test does not mean that you are slow.

We should all remind ourselves this too. Did you know that Wernher Von Braun, the man who took us to the moon failed math class twice. This further backs up the theory of multiple intelligences. Wernher Von Braun is nor was not slow. He just was not understanding the material that they were teaching him, because they wert accepting that he had different gifts.

Why had education not change. I mean look at these pictures and try to tell me that education has changed.

Now, to me that's a shame. Ever since the industrial revolution, nothing has changed.

Going back to Howard Gardner's point of multiple intelligences, this even further backs up his claim. Every scientist know that nobody's brains are the same, and all of the parents will two or more children will confirm that theory. Your brain is not the same as the person sitting next to you. Your brain is not the same as your brother, sister, husband, and wife. We are all different. We all have different needs and wants. Let me give you this scenario. Imagine that there is a doctor, and he prescribes all of his parents will all of the same medication. Do you want to know how many people might have an allergic reaction, or call in sick the next day.

Now think of what you have read in this article. What if I told you that there is one country out their that has tried their best to correct the errors of our ways in our education system. Finland. Let me just tell you the few things they are doing right. Number one. They have shorter school days. Two. They are focusing on collaboration instead of competition. Three. They are keeping in mind the individual. Four. They know that students are about 17% of the world population but 100% of the world's future. These are just some things that they have keep in mind when restruckchurizing their education system.

If I had a choice to customize our school system. There would be no hesitation in my mind that Ii would pick finland's education system. What would you do? Choose Finlands? Or make you own up?
