Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X as Perfect Example of Freedom Fighters

A freedom fighter is a person who takes part in a violent struggle to achieve a political goal, MArtin Luther King and Malcolm X were the perfect examples of that. Both MLK and MX were freedom fighters but how they fought for freedom what was made them different MLK fought for equality in a non-violent manner. Some of the things that he fought for were unsegregated schools, unsegregated bathrooms, hospitals, and restaurants. Some of the challenges that he face were getting beaten by the police; getting verbally and physically abused by white MLK would not fight back with his fist, he chose to fight with words.

0n the other hand Malcolm X chose a different route, he fought for freedom and equality for the blacks also he was a violent freedom fighter. He believed in fighting back and getting even. The two men were influential and had a big impact on equality Martin Luther King had the greater impact because he had a bigger movement than Malcolm X.

The way Malcolm X fought was wrong because fighting fire with fire isn't going to put the fire out, the way Martin Luther King handled it was better. Then Malcolm X’s way Martin Luther King was a very composed man. He was brought up in a church as a young boy he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a preacher. While fulfilling his dreams he decided to get involved in civil rights and become a civil rights activist many people respected him in Alabama.

He eventually gained more respect throughout the world, and Martin Luther King’s way of protesting was effective along with his speeches more and more people despite their race joined him hand—in—hand to reach one goal.

He did everything in a non-violent way and that is why he was a very influential freedom fighter. Malcolm X was extremely divergent. He has known his recklessness he was labeled with many different quotes one of those quotes was “ By any means...” which means he would do whatever it takes to reach his goal. This also means not all his marches and speeches went so peacefully he was aggressive and he he was willing to do whatever it took many people had the same mindset as him, but it didn't get them very far. The whites had a lot more resources and guns, they killed a lot of blacks Malcolm X’s overall target was “ black pride". That is why he had a lot of of people on his side, Both Malcolm X and Martin Luther King have shared the same goal. Their goal was to gain freedom for individuals Martin Luther King wanted freedom for everyone notjust blacks he wanted people not to just be defined by the color of there skin.

He said that “I have a dream, that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character," This is important because this goes to show how important it was for him and how bad he wanted to change the racial justice system Malcolm X was more for getting rights for mainly African Americans. His way of “protesting” was crueler when most wanted to stay away from for example say that you meet someone and you saw them in person before, so you guys get to know each other over the phone. Eventually, you will begin to either like them or dislike them, but you didn't judge them by their color of their skin but by their personality and their character. The Ballot or the Bullet is about how blacks should fight for civil rights in America he talks about the importance of voting as a result to ending discrimination against blacks Malcolm X argued from a black Nationalist perspective.

A black perspective a black nationalist is a social or political movement advocating the separation of blacks and whites and self-government for the black people. He wanted blacks to have their own businesses and their own politicians. Malcolm said that” the time when white people can come in our community and get us to vote for them so that they can be our political leaders and tell us what to do is long gone," . Malcolm X was extremely tired of being controlled by whites and he was not going to put up with it. Most of his protests didnt go as planned.1m not going to say that Malcolm was just going around killing whites but he was willing to. That was one of the problems because you can’t fight fire with itself Malcolm X would have have took after Martin Luther King Jr. in some ways he would have a more successful outcome, Martin Luther King Jr was a better civil rights activist because he was less violent.

His dream was for everyone to come together Martin Luther King Jr. said “ I have a dream that one day my little black boys and girls will be holding hands with little white boys and girls.” He meant that one day all schools will be unsegregated, restaurants, bathrooms etc. We should be able to be friends with the opposite race and religions America is perceived as the land where endless opportunities are achievable Dr. Kings movement established the way for the idea that there is american dreamt. True idea that somebody can do anything they would like to be DrKing and Malcolm X had the same idea they felt that their brothers and sisters should be able to be whatever they would like to be. They should have the same opportunity as the whites and that was what they were fighting.
