Reverend Hale is a character in the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller. He is a minister who is brought in to Salem to investigate the accusations of witchcraft. Hale is a well-meaning man who believes that he is doing the right thing, but he is ultimately duped by the court and the false accusations.
