Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. She is known for her advocacy for girls’ and women’s rights, especially for their right to education. Yousafzai was born in the Swat District of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. She came to prominence when she was 11 years old, after she wrote a blog under a pseudonym for the BBC Urdu service about her life during the Taliban occupation of Swat. The following year, she was nominated for the International Children’s Peace Prize by South African activist Desmond Tutu.
Malala Yoisafzai is an amazing young woman who has accomplished so much in her short life. She is an inspiration to girls and young women everywhere, and her story is one that should be shared with as many people as possible.
