Frederic P Miller is an American author and historian. He is best known for his work on the American Civil War and the American Revolution. Miller was born in New York City in 1834. He studied at the University of the City of New York and the College of New Jersey (now Princeton University). He served in the Union Army during the Civil War and was wounded at the Battle of Chancellorsville. After the war, he worked as a journalist and editor.
