Brutus decides to kill Caesar because he fears if Caesar becomes king that the power will corrupt his mind and he will abuse the power.

Brutus doesn’t want to swear an oath to the conspirators because he believes that they are honorable men and they do not need to swear an oath to display their loyalty.

For what reason does Metellus Cimber want Cicero to join the conspiracy?
Metellus Comber wants to include Cicero because he has a large following of people who will do whatever he says.

Brutus is against including Cicero and against killing Mark Antony. Why?
Brutus believes that Cicero will not follow orders that are given to him, and he believes that killing Antony will make them look like murderers and not healers of Rome. He also believes that Antony will have no power without Caesar.

Why did Brutus say, “Render me worthy of this noble wife!”?
Brutus feels like Portia is so noble to him, even when he won’t tell her about the conspiracy.

Of what does Calpurnia try to convince Caesar?
Calpurnia wants Caesar not to go to the senate because she had a dream about Caesar dying and his statue was bleeding.

Caesar yields to Calpurnia’s wishes at first. Why does he change his mind and decide to go to the Senate meeting?
Decius tells Caesar that if he doesn’t go and listens to his wife that he would be considered a coward, he also says that they were going to give Caesar a crown if he went to to Senate. Finally he says that Calpurnia’s dream a good thing.

What does the note Artemidorus wants to give to Caesar say?
It warns Caesar of the plot made by, Cassius, Casca, Trbonious, Metellus, Cinnamon, Decius, Caius, and Brutus.
