Issue of Illegal Immigration in the United States

Illegal Immigration has been a controversial debate amongst the American Nation for many years, there has been a rapid growth of illegal immigration and it has became a challenge The United States continues to struggle with. There is an estimate of about 12.1 million immigrants specifically those from Mexico living in this country illegally, america has a national debt of approximately 21 trillion dollars and counting. Illegal immigration has contributed many problems in the Government system such as Education, Low wages, High taxes ,Public Funds, Overpopulation, Overstaying visa and Unlawful crimes.

Billions of dollars are spent on illegal immigration, it’s time for citizens and politicians to realize what the problem is, it is not because they’re being discriminated but laws are being broken and no consequences are being made. They need to be held accountable for their actions, it is unfair to the millions of immigrants who come here legally and go through the process the right way just to see that the law is being broken.

The Main reason many Illegal immigrants make a dangerous 2,000-mile journey across Mexico and other Central American countries is for better economic opportunities. However; As they come here illegally a lot of crimes are being committed, According to The Department of Homeland Security as they were told by President Donald Trump to began releasing the quarterly Alien Incarceration Report, in addition to the report, 46 percent of these aliens committed drug trafficking or other drug-related offenses, which was the largest crime category committed by aliens in BOP custody while others fall in the category of other criminal offenses, such as fraud, weapons charges, money laundering, and sexual crimes.

For instance the case of Lesandro ‘Junior’ Guzman-Feliz a fifteen year old teenager who was brutally murdered because of mistaken identity by fourteen criminal from a street gang in the Bronx New York, before half of them got caught most of them fled back to there country aboard before being captured. Therefore illegal and legal immigrants who break the laws should be deported and have their Privileges of becoming a U.S citizen revoked, it simply shows they have no respect for our country and they do not want to ably by our Nation constitution.By doing that can prevent those from committing future crimes on American soil.

Furthermore another issue is Fraud documentation also known as Identity theft, when they enter the United States illegally, they are going to need a new identity to prevent being caught and to have access to american benefits. Otherwise they will have to live in fear of deportation and not being able to have all the resources and opportunities native born citizens have excess to. According to Ronald Mortensen these fraudulent documents usually are counterfeit Social Security cards, forged driver’s licenses, fake green cards and phony birth certificates. Therefore, those who say that illegal aliens do not commit crimes fail to acknowledge that the use of fraudulent paperwork and documents is in fact a crime under the U.S. Code § 1324c – Penalties for document fraud. The people who are working for international airports, border crossings and the government should be able to spot out fake documents, those who fail to do so should have more training once their in without doubt they feel they can beat the system and they have.

Due to the 14th Amendment another serious issue with illegal immigration  is when children of undocumented mothers are born in the United States. Some people believe that children born to undocumented immigrant mothers should be granted American citizenship as well as the mother herself. However; These women are going to need medical attention for themselves and the baby, not only are taxpayers providing for the child they but they also have to provide for the mother and the resources she will be able to receive. Some women have the intention to come to the United States to give birth to their children or use minor children as a key to them gaining citizenship.According Jon Feere The overwhelming majority of the world’s countries do not offer automatic citizenship to everyone born within their borders. I oppose the United States isn’t obligated to either, Congress needs to understand that many abuse this law in order to beat the system, in a way it’s like encouraging it because immigrant mothers will know what they have to do in order to become a U.S citizen without any consequences.
