Generally, youths are the backbone of the society. Youth's participation in all aspects of society is very important at any time. Unfortunately, as we can see in our surroundings, youth generation both male and female face a state of deprivation and also very into technology and forgot that there is a world outside of their rooms waiting for them to make move to helping others and reaching out. Isolation of youth either intentionally or unintentionally can lead them to drug abuse, illegal and criminal actions, depression, migration and so on, while youths are potential group and actor for structuring the world, They have no or have limited role in decision making process or leadership skills that may help then in their daily lives to make them better.

ASIN is a youth organization of Iglesia Filipina Independiente. Asin is a Bisaya word for salt. When Jesus called us to be the "Salt of the Earth", he was asking us to be a flavouring agent, a spreading agent, a healing agent, and a preserving agent in the world we live in.

As a youth group name, Salt is a powerful reminder of the purpose and potential of the young people you are bringing up in Christ. They will see it as their mission to the world around them. And who doesn't like a little salt?

ASIN mainly focus on youth in order to improve and promote their social status and their mission as a followers of Christ. To become leaders for bringing change at their communities through their engagement in the Church and becoming a role model to others.

One activity of Asin in order to help the youth grow closer to God is the Fellowship: Seasoning the Youth.

Youth Fellowship for many years have been at the core of church based youth work. Traditionally, the group would comprise of church attending young people who would meet together in a specific time or day. The main objective of this activity is to:

· Enabling young people to meet their peers; socialize and become part of the community

· Enabling young people to move from adolescence to adulthood; concerned not just with nurturing personal growth but also the growth as a group and have the will to help others

· To encourage godliness through the pursuit of the mind of Christ

· To develop and adapt a Christian world-view by integrating faith, learning, and knowledge

The activity will be held in the Iglesia Filipina Independiente Aloran Parish, once every two months. The program flow consist of group activities and games to get to know each other and to make all the members comfortable with each other. The expected number of participants would be more or less 30 young individuals. The expenses would be covered by the funds of the church but there is no need to worry because the only expenses the activity would be needing is the snacks because the participants will bring their own lunch and the materials needed in the activity is already available in the Church such as sound systems etc.
