By watching the 1992 film ‘Dracula” in 1462 there was a battle against the Turks and that’s when Vlad Dracula found his wife Elisabeta. However time pass and she committed suicide and her soul was damned for eternity. Fused with rage and anger he renounces God and begins to violate churches. Then declares to rise from the grave to avenge her death. This illustrates the characteristics of Dark Romanticism and how it portrays throughouts novels and films.

Aforementioned illustrations manifest Dark Romanticism because mainly the plot is focused on a tragic event that occured, revealing how the natural world is dark, decaying and mysterious, because of Dracula wife committing suicide that would demonstrate the tragic events therefore the film would resemble Dark Romanticism.

Edgar Allen Poe narrative ‘The Fall of The House Of Usher.” and secondary sources epitomize how Dark Romanticism elucidates throughout a novel and film and demonstrate the characteristics throughout it.
