Nobody will deny that the biggest number of these people are students who use the following websites for different purposes. The question is: can social media have a positive influence on education, or all its features are only detrimental? Undoubtedly, the popularity and passion for social media can be advantageous in education if used correctly.

This also provides an easy access on the progress of every student. As a social media site continue to grow in popularity, it is our premise that technology is a vital part in today’s student success equation. This study examines the usage and implications on social networking sites among Trece Martires City National High School Conchu Annex students.

Teachers assign pairing of students this will allow students to participate in their class activities. The pair will work on various localized and contextualized learning activities that address the academic needs of both students.


Participants and/or other Sources of Data and Information

We selected students as the sample by applying random sampling method. The study will focus on the usage and implications on social networking sites among Trece Martires City National High School Conchu Annex students. The study will involve 100 respondents distributed into twenty-five (25) grade 7 high school students, twenty-five (25), grade 8 high school students, twenty-five (25) grade 9 high school students, twenty-five (25) grade 10 high school students. It will be administered on the school year 2019-2010.

Data Gathering Methods

Observations and interviews are the most substantial method to get the most accurate data for our research, but it wasn’t easy, It was decided to print and distribute questionnaire to gather the data. We’ve explained the main goal of the research and importance of the accurate data.

Data Analysis Plan

The following statistical measurement will be used to further evaluate the level of usage, implications of social media and academic performance of respondents:

  1. Mean. Will use to determine the level of usage, implications of social media
  2. T-Test. Will use to compare the quarterly grades of the respondents.
