Could Poverty Affect the Development of Sustainability

Are developing countries in poverty? What is the inspiration behind the poverty that has been created in this world? What could be a good idea for us to do to develop practicality? Of course, every developing country was in destitution or poverty. For example, according to Cory Smith and Laurence Chandy, how poor are America’s poorest? U.S. $2 a day poverty in a global context, stated that “In the united states, the official poverty rate for 2012 stood at 15 percent based on the national poverty line which is equivalent to around $16 per person per day.

Of the 46.5 million Americans living in poverty, 20.4 million live under half the poverty line.” (Cory Smith and Lawrence Chandy 2014) The motivation behind why this kind of destitution has taken place in this world is based on the fact that it has begun from the progenitor individuals who have been deficient in normal assets and insecurity or lack of nutrition in each nation, or on the basis of the foundation and arrangements to diminish the improvement of the supportable that they have built up in ancient times.

Be that as it may, we should fight an impoverished misery to continue to advance sustainability. There are a few benefits arising from the fight against poverty. These are creating new and open markets for growth, retaining and promoting inexhaustible properties, such as energy, sun-energized vitality and so on, and managing food consumption.

In this context, first of all, what does sustainability mean? The capacity to be sustained at a certain pace or level is sustainability.

Amlesh has expressed the meaning of the practical improvement that, “The concept of sustainable development (SD) can be defined as maintenance and sustainable utilization of the functions (goods and services) provided by natural ecosystems and biosphere processes.” (Amlesh, R.) It also guides achieving human development objectives while simultaneously supporting the capacity of traditional institutions to rely on the daily assets on which the economy and the community depend. In another way, Sisay Asefa explained the concept of development sustainability, “Sustainable development defined as the value of the existing stock of natural resources such as forests, fisheries, water, mineral deposits, and the environment in general.” (Sisay Asefa The Economics of Sustainable Development) The primary advantage in the fight against poverty is that it generally gives new markets and opportunities to the sale growth. This leads to increased economic production and ecological processes such as currency, resources, and others to adjust and divide personal expenses. Paul Hawken said that;

Markets today are global, and many companies are multinationals. It is easy for firms to shift money around the globe. Most money in financial markets in the world is used for financing multinational activities and growth. Corporations don't care about habitats or ecosystems. They care about the money they make.” (Chapter 6)

There is no reason that people who work for the government in the economy don't care for products for the market. We could see that it showed us that poverty exists when those workers only think of money. Therefore, to avoid this type of circumstance, a new market should be developed, old markets revamped, and the opportunity to work efficiently to generate sales growth, so that poverty is minimized. In addition, business and training are more relevant than the showcase framework. The business has a strong motivating force to put resources into strengthening practical advancement skills and information. Training also empowers people to lead better lives and trains businesses and culture to solve intertwined challenges and opportunities in our reality. The role of the business in education and planning for sustainable growth has a huge impact on the execution of this guided strategy.

The second benefit of avoiding poverty is preserving and developing renewable resources such as natural gas, solar energy, nuclear power, etc. Africa is encountering a moderate rate of improvement due to little access to sustainable power sources; this is due to the significant levels of constraints arising from oppressed vitality arrangements, deficient assets, lack of mechanical advances, as well as the lack of adequate frameworks. Furthermore, rapid population development and consequent increase in the demand for vitality in the creating nations has prompted an emergency of life that expands the reliance of individuals on non-sustainable sources of power. For example, water is an inexhaustible element which means that we can replant or reuse it again. In any case, coal is the one of non-renewable and means that after we've used it, we can't replace or revamp it as a supply again. Additionally, according to Dorcas Kariuki, “coal is an abundant source of energy. In most countries, coal is readily available and is in ample supplies.” (9) So, it would be hard to replace it, and people would suffer without using coal as their resources and would show us that we are underprivileged or impoverished. Therefore, the reason why it is easier to use renewable resources than non-renewable resources because using a renewable resource, we would allow people to allocate the sources equally to all people and to balance them. We would then prevent deprivation and protect renewable resources.

Thirdly, one of the advantages that help to reduce poverty is monitoring and saving the food from a waste. According to Salman Zafar, “In United States, food waste is the third largest waste stream after paper and yard waste. Around 13 percent of the total municipal solid waste generated in the country is contributed by food scraps.” (2019) It means that it is difficult to treat or recycle because it contained various pollutants and compound types, then it created environmental diseases and then caused people to die. By reducing food waste, helping feed hungry people in their communities, and reducing the impact of waste food on the environment, we can develop food sustainability and then reduce poverty. According to Emma Metson, “The good news is that between 2007 and 2012, the total amount of household food waste in the UK decreased by 15%. Avoidable food waste, on the other hand, dropped by 21%.” (2017) Similar to nowadays, it would definitely have a different percentage. Because of country growth in each year. Nevertheless, it is important to manage and monitor our food waste and other particles related to food recovery, recycling, and regeneration. In addition to this, according to Khalid Zaman, et al, “There is a significant increase in the income share of lowest 20 % population due to agricultural sustainability and growth reforms in the region. The study concludes that agricultural sustainability is the promising solution to reduce food poverty and inequality in the region.” (181) That showed us the great side when we work together in a similar way and keep the food in balance. Decreasing the wasting of nourishment or food is ecologically important as it removes food from landfills. This is the way to avoid the poor by treating our food and reducing the misuse of food sources.

Build sales growth, sustain renewable resources and manage food waste for new markets and opportunities. Therefore, to achieve sustainable development, we should fight poor poverty.

poverty is available everywhere and this is the fundamental issue that diminishes support, particularly for the development of nations like Africa. poverty is in Africa and, due to lack of essential needs, advanced skill and ability, people would most probably not be able to compete with others without any changes. Paul Hawken believed that “There is an unbalanced and unequal relationship between authority and governance, meaning there is a distinction between private lives and corporate rights.” (Chapter 7) Unbalance and unequality are what we refer to as deprivation. That means that they were still underprivileged, and that people were divided into minority and majority classes. The majority class is a highly developed country with everything like water, cloths, minerals, and others, while minority class as opposed to the majority class. Thus, avoiding and preventing poverty would change many things, and sustainable development plays a vital role in developing nations.
