It is important to have religious context this time. She wants to know that he loves her. This is the sweet poem for her husband to know about. Human elements of emotions, fears, and doubts: In Bradstreet's poem 'A Letter to Her Husband, absent upon Public Employment' she talks much about human emotions. For example, the tragedy of separating from her husband, the warmth that she misses in his absence and the emotions that she has to deal with when she looks at their kids. The bond with her and her husband is unstoppable and unconditional. Those emotions are something that can only be felt by the people who suffer from separating with their loved ones.

It appears that her husband is gone for several months, and she describes the pain of sleeping alone in cold weather. Similarly, she feels like the days in winter has suddenly become longer because her husband is not with her. Actually, the number of hours didn't change and it was her love that made her feel that way. Similarly, she explains how their children remind her of him as 'Then view those fruits through thy heat I bore'. Perhaps that's a feeling only a single mother can feel in the absence of her husband. In addition, she reflects the fear and hopes that her husband will never leave her alone and that they will not separate until they die. That is a true emotion of a loving wife who wants her husband to be with her at all times.
