What does community service/ volunteerism mean to you?

Community Service means willingly offering your service to work to positively benefit others and also the community without the aim of gaining a profit.

Jamaicans economy is prosperous Jamaica has a healthy natural environment.

Two of these goals outlined above are closely linked to community service/ volunteerism these includes Goal 1 and Goal 4. The reason I believe Goal 1 is closely linked to community service/ volunteerism is because once you are empowered to do something and you put your mind to it you will achieve great results. There are volunteers who assist others to see that they are capable of achieving things.

The reason I believe goal 4 is closely linked to community service/ volunteerism is Jamaica is a healthy natural environment therefore there can be persons who volunteer to assist with clean-ups for example doing beach clean-ups this would help to display a clean and natural and healthy environment.

I believe I can contribute to achieve Goal 4 in the vision 2030 in my community service by giving assistance in the office at Bogwalk Health Centre where I will be volunteering.

This is a major way of giving my service to others and also willingly using my free time to help impact the lives of others.
