China had long been into existence while its neighboring countries from the West were building up as world’s powers many centuries ago. Being at the Far East, China developed into an ancient sophisticated culture with distinct character of its own. Known as the “Sleeping Giant,” it is one of the oldest nations on earth that developed many centuries ago in isolation from the rest of the world with a separate customs and values.
Japan in the same way being the first country that rose to have the most industrialized economy in Asia after the World War II is significant in the global economy.
Known as the “Land of the Rising Sun” Japan has a unique customs and traditions that evolved on its own thousands of years ago. Aside from rich cultural heritage and mineral resources, China and the rest of East Asian countries grew independently into nations capable enough to resist colonial occupations.
Cultural, political, and social structure of these countries were the result of numerous foreign interventions in the land such as the Mongol rule, Barbarians, and even religious intrusion in the lands.
Generally, China, Japan, and Korea, had gone through a lot of chaos that strengthened their nationalism and patriotism especially at the turn of twentieth century.
