A chief executive develops policies and procedures for an agency, directs and coordinates the activities of workers, prepares budgets, and monitors expenditures. They also consult with staff and others to coordinate activities and solve problems, review and analyze laws and public policy, prepares reports about activities, expenses, and budgets, and directs and coordinates the testing, hiring, training, and evaluation of staff. To become a CEO you should take the small business pathway in high school. Required education for a CEO is a bachelor’s degree or higher, plus work experience. The formal education and experience required by top executives vary as widely as their responsibilities. Many top executives have a bachelor’s or graduate degree in business administration, liberal arts, or a more specialized discipline. Entry level wage is $82,830 per year and experienced annual wage is $181,370. Some advantages of being a CEO are the financial benefits and being able to control the direction a company will move in. The disadvantages are the amount of work and coordination to be a CEO.

Aerospace Engineer

An aerospace engineer directs and coordinates activities of engineering or technical personnel designing, fabricating, modifying, or testing of aircraft or aerospace products. They also plan and conducts experimental, environmental, operational, or stress tests on models or prototypes. Required education is a high school diploma and at least a bachelor’s degree. Some of the main skills that are important for this career are reading comprehension, active listening, writing, speaking, mathematics, science, critical thinking, and monitoring. The average pay range of an aerospace engineer is between $72,280- $145,830. Some advantages are the pay and the stability of job outlook. Some disadvantages are of being an aerospace engineer are the strenuous mental work and calculations that must be done precisely.
