I will write about CSR and how Aston Martin are responding to it. The question is, do you think a business most important thing is profit? I will also include what Aston Martin done or planning to do to follow the CSR.

First of all, profit means the money you have lift after you’ve paid all your bills. Profit is one of the most important part of the business if not the most, because most of the people when they plan to set up a business their number one goal is to earn a lot of profit, one of the main things that motivate people in businesses is profit.

Now there is a new issue that business owners should take serious too, which is CSR. The definition of CSR is corporate social responsibility, it also includes economics responsibility, social responsibility, natural environment responsibility and workplace responsibility.

Most of the companies don’t do CSR because it’s too expensive for them.

Greenwashing is basically when a company announce that they are doing something but they don’t actually do it, for example a company labels on its product that it’s organic even though it’s still the same. Some people fall for it but unfortunately some people disagree with it. (Smallbusiness.chron.com, 2020)

CSR rules with employees, all employees should be paid at least the minimum wage, every age has a minimum wage. You can’t abuse any of your workers or do human trafficking. You must provide a heathy and save environment for your workers.

CSR rules with customers, you should provide a good quality and a safe product to your customers, for example CSR is Aston martin plans to make an ongoing reduction on manufacturing product. This will be done by setting a monitor to control the factory emission and reach the target. They will follow the environment law from now on. Aston martin will reduce the impact of the activities in the environment by producing less and recycling waste. Aston martin has something called end-of-life-vehicle, this means if you have an old car that doesn’t work anymore you can give to Aston martin and instead of putting it to waste, they will recycle it, this relates to CSR because recycling is a one of the renewable energy methods, they can recycle it and use it instead of throwing it to waste, the planet will end up filled with waste, plastic etc. if it affect our planet it will affect us and the animals too. Aston martin has a big future of electric cars, for now they only have one electric car, it was launched April 17 2019. It’s called Rapid E. electric cars are way better than patrol cars because patrol cars will destroy our planet in the future and cause climate change too, which it has already started. Electric cars will be healthier for the environment and avoid climate change, however electric cars might be a bit risky for the customers, as it might stop in the middle of the street and you cant charge it, only in the charging station. Employee rights, Aston martin mentioned in their website that they will never do anything close to slavery or human trafficking to our workers. Aston martin doesn’t employ any kid who is below fifteen, as it is inappropriate and against the law. Aston martin doesn’t any physical abuse to any of their employee. they don’t have any kind of people treat better than others, they said all employees will be treated the same, including age, race, gender etc. they provided a safe and healthy working environment for their employees. Working hours are the same as the what the law says, not more than 12 hours, Wages are the same too. They don’t accept bullying for any reasons to their employees. (astonmartinlagonda., 2020)

Google uses the CSR very well. In Singapore google provides one of the best building and facilities for its engineers or software workers. Ron Robins says CSR will mostly increase your profit. Because CSR will promote the company and give It a really good value there for the company will have higher sales. Some people now days are paying more attention to CSR and they only buy from companies that respond to CSR.

Coca cola is one of the greatest companies that uses CSR. they are planning to donate 10.8 million dollars’ worth of medical equipment to the hospitals. They give 1% of their income to charity. In 2014 coca cola donated 126 million dollars to help with active and healthy living initiatives, water stewardship programs, education, women’s empowerment, humanitarian and disaster relief programs. Not only this, but they also support university students who are planning to be future entrepreneurs. They provide clean water for refugees who live In the region. (En.coca-colaarabia.com, 2020)

Lego plans to make all its product sustainable by 2030. They also want to make their bricks the same quality as they used to be but obviously it will be difficult as it is sustainable. They will use renewable energy 100% renewable energy is making energy with things that won’t affect our planet they can do it by solar energy, wind energy and waves, unlike nonrenewable energy, which is using oil, gas, coal and nuclear. These resources will affect our planet and cous global warming which is already happening really fast. Lego uses wind power. They invested on wind farm in Germany and the UK. The wind out put from the renewable energy that invested on was greater than the energy in the LEGO factories, offices, stores. (Lego.com, 2020)
