It is common for people to marry someone who is smart, but intelligence has nothing to do with it. it's their love. In the movie "I Am", written by Kristin Johnson and Jesse Nelson, the main character (Sam) and his daughter (Lucy), along with many other characters, show that love has nothing to do with intelligence. In the movie, Sam loved Lucy and had the mind of a seven-year-old child, and Rita was very smart, but did not love her husband and did not show love to her son. Also in the movie, Randy was very smart, but did not love Lucy as much as Sam, who had the mind of a seven-year-old child. Rianne Johnson and Jesse Nelson wrote I Am Sam to show that love has nothing to do with intelligence.
Throughout the story, Sam showed us that he could love Lucy more than anyone else, despite the fact that he was mentally challenged. Towards the end of the movie, Randy (the foster mom) tells Sam that she shouldn't be Lucy's mother because she can't love Lucy like Sam can, even though he has the mind of a 7-year-old. For example, when the school social worker said: "You have the complicity brain of a seven-year-old." The other scene was when Randy told Sam that he should have Lucy because he loved her so much more than she did, and Lucy loved him back. These two pieces of evidence suggest that Sam, with the mind of a seven-year-old, might be a better father to Lucy than Rita because of the love between Sam and Lucy.
The authors of I Am Sam, Christine Johnson and Jesse Nelson, wrote this because they wanted to show us that love has nothing to do with intelligence. Sam loved Lucy, even though she had the mind of a 7-year-old child, and Rita, even though she was a very successful lawyer, did not love her husband. In addition, Randy was a very intelligent man, but he could not love Lucy the way Sam did. The movie I Am Sam, written by Jesse Nelson and Kristin Johnson, shows us that love has nothing to do with intelligence through the experiences of Sam, Lucy, Rita, and Randy. This movie showed me that you can have the mind of a child, be 40 years old and still love someone more than others a person who may be a millionaire or a person of high authority.
