Student Non-Sleeping due to School Expectations

Three key factors are played here. Is it true that teenagers who arrive at school well-rested have lower rates of absences, depression and expulsion? There is only so much time in a day. Kids have lives to attend to out of the classroom. The early start times have evolved because of increasing persuasion on teenagers to participate in non-school related activities, jobs, community service and sports. And most importantly, we stay up late. Late night workloads won't be so harmful to students any more.

This editorial will began to explain possible reasons and future outcomes.

Schools current expectations do not give kids enough sleep and we arrive at school exhausted. Somehow, people between the age of twelve through eighteen are recommended seven to eight hours of sleep a night (1). Personally, I don't meet these required hours. Between Academics and other activities that are not related to my education puts myself in bed around 10:30 or even 11:00 o'clock at night. Living a half hour away from school, my alarm goes off at 6:30 in the morning and I'm off to another day.

Added together, the recommended hours are met but I'm still tired.

Between academics and a persons social life, time management is needed. There's only so much sunlight in a day, there is a limit as to how much can get done. Teachers give homework, send us on our way and expect the material to be done the next day. When I get home, my family has a plan that affects my study hour.

We go and do other activities but still no work has been done. The day has come and gone and I'm finally at my desk. When my work is complete, it's time my bed time and I am losing those pervious eight yours of sleep.

Working hard at night is always great but you can only go so far. Kids these days seem to postpone their studies until the last minute and it affects their sleep later. Late nights getting work done may do more harm than good. people loose their focus which may end with a bad result such as a zero for not showing your work on homework.
