Action Speak Louder Than Words

People tend to relate to what they see rather than what they hear. Seeing is believing (Thomas, 1639) they said. Words cannot be seen or proven unless they are acted out. By saying so, actions can communicate ever more lucidly than what is spoken of. Many people speak of doing endless facets, but they end up only delivering empty promises. People learn from each other, and grow wiser day to day. Promises will not be believed, unless acted upon.

In this modern society, the ability to express views is important in one’s life.

But words mean little if no actions are taken. Results are the implication of actions; with actions comes results. A life example would be that, an employer often judge or evaluate their employee’s performance. The employer does not only listen to what their employers claim they would do, but he will only evaluate based on the fact on what they can do.

Life advancements can only be made if humans build our world by actions.

Words carried by wind, but facts remains rock solid. An example would be Gustave Eiffel building the Eiffel Tower in France. Some few years ago, when Penangites heard that the second Penang Bridge would be built by the Government, no actions has been taken leaving them in the dark. Just last year, when the construction works began in Batu Maung, they finally believed that it was not just a hoax, but also a fact.

In great histories, Pharaohs built their Pyramids only by slavery.

Many modern scientists and architects said they would construct the exact built and texture as well as the Egyptian slaves but until now, they failed to mimic the original works of histories. This clearly shows that humans cannot question the reliability of words but actions can.

Remarkable scientists such as Einstein tried to prove his theories back then, but they were all rejected because they were all deemed “impossible”. By not giving up, Einstein has proved his theories by examples and thus, becoming a fact. These facts speak for themselves. What we learn in school nowadays, are taught by examples proven by great scientists, not words that could be easily questioned.

In most cases of the modern teenagers dealing with their parents, actions are better than words. Good example of that being myself as a teenager, I did not really get along well with my mother. Endless naggings from day to night, prompting on what should be done or otherwise. By practicing actions of working rather than arguing on what I will do, she stopped nagging and even compliments me on my works. People who speak of words of facts are people of integrity because they only speak of what they are capable of doing. These people believe that what is said is easily forgotten, but what a person does leaves a mark in his life as well as others who witnessed.
