An online social networking site just makes our social networks visible to others who are not in our instant network. In a social media, individuals are held together by pre-established interpersonal relationships, such as kinship, friendship, schoolmates, colleagues, organisation partners, etc. The connections are constructed one at a time (i.e. you link straight with another user). The primary factor that individuals sign up with a social networking site is to keep old relationships and establish brand-new ones to broaden their network.

Some apparent examples of socials media are Facebook, Myspace, and LinkedIn.

One interesting feature about individuals’s social media networks is that they are exceptionally distinct.
