A Thing That Ignites the Conflict and Adds Fuel

These conflicts will never end there is a multitude of reasons for this. Among these reasons are humans' deep-rooted tendency to follow the crowd and take on other people’s philosophies and views for their own, or collective behavior. Collective behavior often is worsened and intensified through human social institutions, these institutions tend to divide humans. Division in humans usually results in clashing of beliefs, arrogance, and intolerance which results in ethnocentricity. The clash and difference in beliefs and cultures often result in war and feuds, especially if the different factions are within close proximity to each other.

Arrogance is another thing that stirs conflict and adds fuel. When people are infected with arrogance they see their philosophies as right and righteous, thus canceling their ability to successfully reason with and tolerate other people.

They also begin to push their philosophies on other people as a result of intense arrogance, because of the belief of their ideals are righteous and that everyone should adopt them.

Wars and conflicts are often started because of people forcing unwanted beliefs onto others. Intolerance is caused by arrogance. Lack of tolerance for other people often results in discrimination of certain groups of ethnicities and/or religious factions. This discrimination often results in scapegoating, and alienation, while giving justification for violence or treatment of “other people”. Alienation allows people to justify inhumane actions. It allows for a faction (religious, ethnic group) that is the majority to treat others unfairly and inhumanely for their benefit and gain.

There are many historical examples of discrimination and inhumane treatment of people to benefit the people that are discriminating; such as how the Christians scapegoated Jews for problems that occurred in their society.

Scapegoating occurs because they wanted to make it feel as it was someone else’s fault for the hardships that we were being faced. It makes the accusers feel better as they don't have to take responsibility, which results in less pressure on their own selves. However, this often results in violence and other evil toward the group that is accused, such as mass persecution and exile, even dehumanizing the image of Jews. This group was able to be scapegoated due to the intense arrogance, intolerance, and belief hierarchy of the scapegoats. However, Christians weren’t the only ones that scapegoated and had conflict with Jews. There were also Muslims, Catholics, and other religious ethnic groups that share a long history of discrimination, violence, and abuse of Jews. The repeating cycle of antisemitism has been around since the BCE and is still prevalent in today's times.
