2.2 develop and agree common objectives when working with colleagues When working with my colleagues the common objectives I need to be aware of are I need to negotiate with colleagues to ensure everyone is in agreement. I need to compromise with my colleagues making sure an agreement is met so that everyone is happy. Clear communication with everyone is very important holding meeting regularly and talking to colleagues helps set clear guidelines of everyone’s roles and responsibilities within the setting I need to make sure I set my own goals and achieve a good standard in my own work to show a good example to my colleagues. Within the setting we centre our planning on our children enduring we run a fun safe environment at all times.

To evaluate my own work I need to do self appraisal I evaluate my own work and role seeing how I can improve on what my good point and bad points are! Through appraisal I can see what my strengths and weaknesses are self appraisals are important to help better the quality of my work. I need to accept feedback from colleagues to help me improve my role within the setting. And set targets for myself to help me do my role better within my setting.

they key to dealing with conflict is to have openness and honesty with colleagues making sure issues are raised and sorted promptly making sure a common ground is met by all involved to ensure everyone is happy within the work place. A none judgmental approach to the matter helps to ensure no sides are taking if needed a third party to help with negotiation would be a good idea to sort the conflict out promptly

My role when working with other professionals is to maintain a professional approach at all times with professional sharing relevant information with them they may need I need to make sure I collect all the relevant information for the professional making sure protocols are met. Recording and assessing the child under there care giving good communication to help them establish a plan of action. I need to know how to challenge the professional if needed in a professional manner I would do this by using a clear and calm voice to sort the issue out prompt!

It is important to work with others to help improve the quality and running of our service to help with gather information about individuals to help with self esteem to give a centred approach to help with their care and support. Feedback to our service helps us improve to offer the best standard if care.

To develop procedures for a effective working relationship we need to establish a good understanding with others set boundaries for example confidentially everything will remain confidential all personal documents within the setting, involvement in delivery of support and care, ensuring problems are sorted promptly to give a better quality of care making sure their are mechanisms in place to help sort conflict out! That communication is clear at all times and information is recorded and stored for evidence and that the individual is the centre of the process to help keep a high standard of care to the individual in my setting.

When working with others the common objectives I need to do are to make sure the individual is the centre of the process at all times making sure I don’t over step boundaries within my own role and responsibility I need to agree on and agenda and store and record information ensuring I meet the guidelines for my setting when doing so.
