Modern people are always pursuing something special. When we go to buy a gift, we make great effort in looking for a special one. When we chew the cud of our past, we try to figure out a special person for us. When we have a topic to work on, we have to think up a special day like what I am doing now. It seems we are always lack of special things and never do we get tired of seeking it. However, the most theatrical thing is that we are losing the thing what we have been in search of for a long time. It’s called today. Now it’s almost 12 o’clock.
Today comes to an end. Today is a special day. It’s one of those normal Sundays, bright, clear, with sunshine. I got up late in the morning and had a breakfast lunch. I went to watch football match and cheered for my schoolmates. I played basketball in the evening and won the very crucial game. I did nothing special; nevertheless, it’s a special day. I awoke to see bright sun light when the kids in Sichuan Province were suffering a disastrous earthquake. I jumped very high to make a basket when many people even have difficulty walking.
I have friends to share happiness and sadness. I have a beloved mother to care about me. I am so lucky today that it’s a special day for me. It is said that never save something for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion. So let’s not seek for special day. Instead, let’s cherish today and every day. The words “Someday… ” and “One Day… ” are fading away in my life. If it’s worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now. Midnight has just gone. Another special day!
