The information that will be provided in this paper will give information about a new type of restaurant in the industry, ME Cafe. ME Cafe with provide food for all walks of life. It will cater to specific needs, wants, and desires of each of their customers at an affordable price. The information within this document will cover the mission statements, vision statements, and the values in addition to how these steps will assist the company in determining their strategic direction. “ A strategic business plans assist companies in defining their mission and vision, helps them define their purpose and direction setting them apart from their competitors,” (Pearce & Robinson, 2009, “p” 57). Creating a sound mission and vision statement allows the consumer, employees, stockholders, and competitors to see where the company is presently, potential goals, and their plan to achieve their goal. Concept for ME Cafe
ME café will provide natural, fresh and organic to a large variety of flavour’s and fillings, themed appetizers, sandwiches, wraps and other menu items specifically designed to meet each consumer’s needs, wants, and desires at an affordable price within the Food service industry. Our options will include gluten, egg, and dairy free, in addition to other special dietary needs. Business hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. After hours we will provide a limited menu, pickups and call in order will e welcomed, in addition to the Delivery options a 5 mile radius.
A vision statement refers to the part of a company’s strategic plan used to achieve future goals. “A vision statement represent a company’s strategic intent, it allows the company to focus their energy and resources to achieve their desired future” (Pearce & Robinson, 2009, “p” 37). Our vision is to provide the natural and healthy fast dinning that will meet the specific needs, medical and dietary requests of each consumer, maintaining high standards, and providing the best customer service by anticipating and meeting the need of all.
Our mission at the ME Cafe is to provide natural healthy and organic fast-food dining option that will meet specific needs, wants, and desires of each customer at an affordable price. Mother Earth Cafe Provides, a respectful, positive, learning, environmentally safe, clean, and friendly atmosphere for employees, consumers, and the community. Our goal is to have the highest customer satisfaction rating by providing a high-quality product and outstanding customer service.
Determining which core values fit a company can take time as the list of core values can easily grow into a large number (Dictionary). To best identify the Core Values for a business one must consider the company’s actions and behaviour’s as their core values are only accurate if they actively influence employees and are followed. Creating a short list and prioritizing core values is necessary, as a longer list can be harder to communicate and enforce. In founding ME Cafe, one of the initial steps was creating the company’s set of core values to serve as the company’s guiding principles. The core values the company chooses reflects what ME Café considers important regarding to every working aspects of day-to-day operations, from creating a strategic plan to hiring new employees (Dictionary). 1. Provide special products and services that separate the company from competitors, increasing the company’s completive advantage. Consider new products on a regular basis to maintain the company’s position within the chosen industry.
The core values of ME Cafe will help this company achieve their goals described above within the mission and vision statement. Values are standards that require effort to achieve. Every business should have a sound sense of business and financial ethics, in addition to social responsibility and an Intercultural environment (Contributors, 2013). As stated within the company’s mission and vision statement our responsibility is to meet the customer’s needs and provide the best products according to customer’s requirements. It is the responsibility of this company to conduct business in a socially and environmentally safe and productive way (Leader, 2013). The responsibilities ME Cafe takes seriously can be determined in the way the company treats their employees, customers, and investors with honesty and respect. ME Cafe take social responsibility seriously, as their interaction within the community makes a large impact on how the community grows and develops. Strategic direction is very important to a company for the implementation of its mission and vision. The strategies are required to accomplish the company’s mission and vision. Strategic direction assists the employees, managers, and owners by showing what efforts are essential to achieving the company’s mission. By pre-determining direction and potential plans, the company can improve their progress (Pearce, 2009). By using the company’s vision, a plan for implementation can be set with corresponding strategies. Customer Needs and Competitive Advantage
The company’s intention is to provide a comfortable, friendly, secure, Intercultural atmosphere for their customers. Discrimination in any form is not tolerated. By initiating a Strategic plan, the company is increasing their chances of achieving their goals. The strategic direction is established by reviewing the mission and vision statements prior to making important decisions regarding potential plans.
