The most important person in my life

Some people say they met their best friend in elementary school or from a sports team; luckily, I found mine in the womb being born at the same time as me. Not many people are so fortunate as to have a twin sister, so to me she is the four-leaf clover in the endless meadow; I feel exceptionally lucky to consistently have her by my side. Leaving Jenna to come to university was the hardest decision I have ever come across in my life so far. She has supported me in everything I do, she has made me a better person and has always been the best friend that I can rely on. Ever since I was born, Jenna has…

Who Moved My Cheese Paper

After beginning the story “Who Moved My Cheese?” I was instantly hooked. This book was such an easy read but I felt like I took away great lessons and advice. The story was in such simple terms and the lessons seemed so obvious, but many people, myself included, often overlook the beauty of change. I identified with several characters in the book, in different aspects of my life as well as throughout the different stages it took to become who I am today. As an over-thinker and over-analyzer, I believe I most identify with the two little people Hem and Haw. Change is scary to most people, and I often find myself hesitant to accept that change is occurring. It…

In those 5 years I have made an unbreakable friendship with my teachers and peers. In those 5 years I have made unforgettable memories. In those 5 years, Boxwood changed who I was, how I see the world and how I react to it. I believe that it changed me into a better person. In the future, when I am a successful business man and I’m asked about the most…

Narrative Essay-Personal experience

Once you get your driver license in Germany at the age of 18, your Mum might tell you from the date before leaving by car “Fahre nie schneller, als dein Schutzengel fliegen kann.” It is a German saying and it means that you should never drive faster than your guardian angel can ever fly. I remember that I always answered “Yes, yes- nothing will ever happen to me, Mum. Calm down”, closed the door and left for going somewhere. You will never even try to change your behavior or think about it until something happens that might change you as a person and your way of thinking for the rest of your life. One day, my brother, named Philipp, and…

A Musical Evening

No, I haven’t been to a musical (lately). But Friday “my” choir and I had an appointment with, well, the rest of the population here, really. The local choirs (5) and whoever else who wanted to come along, were gathered to sing. The choirs had 2-3 songs each in between, but the rest was pure singalong (not karaoke..). Before going I felt as if I was a hundred years old, because that’s what I expected the average age of the people attending to be – but no such thing. Admittedly, average age was possibly 50, but there was such a genial atmosphere, and fun songs to sing! It was great listening to the other choirs and there was even food…

Everything Happens For a Reason

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” – Marilyn Monroe. I believe in everything happens for a reason. Have you ever thought about everything that takes place might have a reason? Day by day you make mistakes; you say the wrong things; you show off; you make someone else smile; you do a good deed; etc. But, those have reasons. You make a mistake because you don’t understand or didn’t pay attention; you…

Better to convince people than to force them

It is better to convince people than to force them: DISAGREE/ Agree I would like to talk to you about today the topic “convincing people is better forcing them” and I am against this saying no forcing people is better but I also agree and saying that convincing Is better, please don’t get confused because in some cases it is truly better to force people but in some other cases it is better to convince all depending on the situation. There are a few ways to prove this point. One, forcing someone to do something is quicker and more efficient. There is also a term “fake it till you make it”. Convincing people might make it slower and waste time…

Reflection paper on nstp

Hunger, crime, and death … these are the effects of what we called poverty. Poverty is the state of being poor or being inadequate to reach something. This incident is true especially to those places which have lack governance and low foundation of education. Even though Philippines is a progressing country, there are also places in our country that have to be monitor because of poverty. I see poverty when children in the street have no slippers or shoes that can be cover to their feet. I see poverty when their clothes only cover a little part of their body. I see poverty when they cannot buy on their own instead they just ask their friends to give them food….

My role model

To me a role model is someone in my life that has influenced me in a positive way. They help shape the way I am in the present and what I am going to be in the future. They are some one that I can look forward for advice in a tough situation and I know that they will give me advices with wisdom. They will never judge me on my past but only look to help because they really do care about me. Some one who I never feel awkward talking to about my problems because I know that it will not change their view of me and they will not reveal any information about me to other unrelated…

Why you treated unfairly by bad words?

Most of people love fair, so when they are treated unfairly that make them feel bad or maybe it’s the point to begin some problems easy. But why some people have unfair acting to other people? Once time I had ever faced with a unfair person who made me more understand about acting of human and get a good lesson from the experience to keep in my mind until now. When I was starting a new job as an official worker at a small private company where it had 9 employees and there’d 5 rooms. As they shared their duties and it’s also 2 people (a staff and boss) per a room to combine work together and a big boss…

Wealth and Power

“How do wealth and power affect one’s ability to fully enjoy human rights and live with human dignity?” I feel that when money and power come into play in any situation the outcome will always be different. Money can be a good thing and a bad thing. It provides many benefits in our lives, some necessary and some not. Money can be earned my mostly everyone, but not all people have the opportunity to receive the same amount of it. Money can be the deciding factor between going to different colleges or even perusing different careers. If a person does not have the money to get into a good college, than the opposing person with enough money for an education…

Speech on Shark Finning

Shark Finning, the illegal fishing which involves the cutting of the sharks fins, and then the carcass is thrown back into the water. This is wrong, just think for a minute, and put yourselves into the ‘shoes’ of those sharks. Its like getting your arms and legs chopped off and being told ‘swim’. Shark finning should be banned. Sharks are finned all over the world and get employees from small towns that poor and want money to support their families. This is were the problem lies, we must help these little small and remote towns, so that they do not have to take part in this horrible act. Countries in Asia, with so much people can not help every single…

Utos Ng Hari

“I was once a student.” I was 4 years old when I first entered kindergarten. I remember those times before going to school, my father would tell me to play and mingle with my classmates, be friendly, and not have fight with anyone. Then my mother would say that I should listen to our teacher so I can get stars and expect an award from her if I would do really well. Being a kid, I never questioned why I have to do all of those. I just thought that maybe, those were the best things I must do. Since then, I assumed that maybe that’s how simple the essence of life is — to socialize, excel, and make my…

Prefect or Young Student Leader Letter

Dear sir / madam , I am writing this letter as I am keen to become a first ambassador and I wish to help the school as a community and support the school in becoming a better place for all of us. I believe that becoming a young student leader will help me give back something to the school after what the school and its staff has done for me over the past 1 years. I believe that I have the qualities required to be a young student leader because I take things seriously and I am responsible and sensible when it comes to dealing with problems. I have had experience talking to people as I have worked with children…
