More over people from all over Pakistan are living in Lahore. Sample size A sample of two hundred consumers was chosen on the basis of simple random sampling because the respondent are divided on the bases of demographic factor like age. We categories the sample of 200 respondents 160 males and 40 females because mostly females do not gave proper response. Sampling Technique The data has been collected from…

Preparing to Conduct Business Research

Develop or select the instruments your team will use to collect data. Describe how you will sample the population: · What is the appropriate sampling method? · What sampling frame will be used? · What is the appropriate sampling size? · How will the sample size be determined? Discuss the overall data analysis approach and result reporting: · Which statistical test will be used and why? · How will the results be displayed? Combine the three parts of the Preparing to Conduct Business Research assignment to develop a cohesive research proposal of no more than 2,450 words.  Include the following elements: · Research problem and purpose · Significance, scope, magnitude, and feasibility of finding a solution to the issue, opportunity,…

Data mining techniques

2.1Assuming that data mining techniques are to be used in the following cases, identify whether the task required is supervised or unsupervised learning. a.Supervised-Deciding whether to issue a loan to an applicant based on demographic and financial data (with reference to a database of similar data on prior customers). b.Unsupervised-In an online bookstore, making recommendations to customers concerning additional items to buy based on the buying patterns in prior transactions. c.Supervised-Identifying a network data packet as dangerous (virus, hacker attack) based on comparison to other packets whose threat status is known. d.Unsupervised-Identifying segments of similar customers. e.Supervised-Predicting whether a company will go bankrupt based on comparing its financial data to those of similar bankrupt and non-bankrupt firms. f.Unsupervised-Estimating the repair…

Respondents of the Study

Respondents of the Study The proponent selected the high school students of Villamor High School to be the respondents of the study, preferably the freshmen and sophomore students. The proponent had came up with 119 students as respondents having 50 representatives from the first year level, 61 from the second year level and 8 representatives from the game enthusiasts/software programmers. The proponent also chose some software programmers and game enthusiasts as the respondents of the study. Apple Research Project

To help Apple figure out what can be done to maintain and/or surpass its current level of success within the smartphone market Team D created and administered a ten question survey. The purpose of the survey is to gain knowledge on what consumers think about the iPhone and determine any desired changes to ensure Apple’s top rating within the smartphone market. The results of the survey will be analyzed to identify any trends or similarities between all of the different respondents. Sampling Process and Data Collection The survey was distributed via Facebook to current and future smartphone owners. It was not a requirement for respondents to be previous or current iPhone users. Each team member was instructed to post a…

Sampling methods

Sampling methods are classified as either probability or nonprobability. In probability samples, each member of the population has a known non-zero probability of being selected. Probability methods include random sampling, systematic sampling, and stratified sampling. In nonprobability sampling, members are selected from the population in some non random manner. These include convenience sampling, judgment sampling, quota sampling, and snowball sampling. The advantage of probability sampling is that sampling error can be calculated. Sampling error is the degree to which a sample might differ from the population. When inferring to the population, results are reported plus or minus the sampling error. In nonprobability sampling, the degree to which the sample differs from the population remains unknown.Stratified sampling techniques are generally used…

Internship Report Format

Internship (Industrial Training) Report: An internship report is an organization study, a case study or a survey of an organization. The students are expected to make factual observation about functioning of an organization. The study is organization specific done by a student. The students are expected to study the whole organization or a wing of the organization (if the organization is of giant size). It is compulsory for the students to take up assignments or tasks (Project) given by the organization during their study period. Objective: To apprise students of the functioning of an organization. Submission of the Internship Report The internship report (Final- 3 hard bound copy and a soft copy) should be submitted Time Frame : 6 weeks…

Lab 6 Population Types

Lab 6 Experiment 2 1. It is important that bass caught and marked are returned to the lake unharmed because if they are harmed them they are less likely to be caught again or they may end up dying if they are returned harmed. 2. I don’t this type of population would be easier to count directly because I don’t think it would be possible to catch all of the bass in the population to conduct this experiment. 3. I think that sample size is relative to population density and will positively affect the accuracy of the estimate because the sample size will be an excellent indication of the population and give accurate data for the experiment. 4. I think…

Random Sampling Method

Samples and Sampling The term “sampling,” as used in research, refers to the process of selecting the individuals who will participate (e.g., be observed or questioned) in a research study. A sample is any part of a population of individuals on whom information is obtained. It may, for a variety of reasons, be different from the sample originally selected. Samples and Populations The term “population,” as used in research, refers to all the members of a particular group. It is the group of interest to the researcher, the group to whom the researcher would like to generalize the results of a study. A target population is the actual population to whom the researcher would like to generalize; the accessible population…

Inquiring Minds Want to Know

Abstract This paper defines Penton Media’s sampling plan and research design for their study on if their reader service cards are still successful in getting buyer’s attentions. There are five questions that develop the sampling plan and Penton Media’s answers to these questions are described in this paper along with the strengths and weaknesses of their decisions. Their research design is also explained in the eight categories given. Finally, the strengths and weaknesses of their research design are given. Case Assignment 2 Penton Media has designed a research study to determine if the reader service cards are still a sustainable form of bringing in customers. Penton Media came up with a sampling plan in order answer this research plan. Their…
