P1: Describe how marketing techniques are used to market products in two organizations. Market: A regular gathering of people for the purchase and sale of provisions, livestock, and other commodities. Marketing: The action or business of promoting and selling products or services. Marketing techniques available: A marketing strategy is an overall marketing plan designed to meet the needs and requirements of customers. The plan should be based on clear objectives. A number of techniques will then be employed to make sure that the marketing plan is effectively delivered. Marketing techniques are the tools used by the marketing department.

The marketing department will set out to identify the most appropriate techniques to employ in order to make profits. There are four marketing techniques available Growth strategies: Business development strategies seek to match marketing opportunities to the organization’s resources (what it can do) and its objectives (what management wants to do). To do so there is market Penetration, Market Development, product development and diversification. Market penetration means trying to increase sales of an organization’s existing products or services in its existing markets.

This can be accomplished by strengthening current customer relationships to increase their rate of product/service utilization or trying to attract competitor customers or current non-users. Market development means trying to increase sales of an organization’s current products or services in new markets. Market development may also involve identifying new uses for an existing product or service. Product development means offering new or improved products or services in an organization’s existing markets. Diversification means moving into entirely different lines of business—-unfamiliar products, services or markets.

Survival Strategies is of the strategies by which a business is about using the good times to plan for the bad times because every business owner should plan as though there will be a downturn in business at some point. Getting our business to survive the bad times takes planning, and it takes a clear-headed execution of those plans when the bad times do show themselves. Branding in today’s marketplace, we must not only be concerned about how our brand is selling, we must also know what the marketplace’s perception of our brand is.

Understanding brand perception is vital for everything from product/service development to product/service positioning or market segmentation. Relationship marketing is a strategy designed to foster customer loyalty, interaction and long-term engagement. This customer relationship management (CRM) approach focuses more on customer retention than customer acquisition. Relationship marketing is designed to develop strong connections with customers by providing them with information directly suited to their needs and interests and by promoting open communication.

As I am asked to describe the marketing techniques for two organizations so I need to select two organizations. I have chosen Hordipod Mistanno Vandar & Mahan Chan grand sons for this task. Hordipod Mistanno Vandar They start their journey in 2002 by opening one retailing shop in Azimpur and their first products are three different types of sweets, namkins, chom chom and so on. Day by day, they became popular in local area and present day they have two branches in local area. There are so many varieties and it changes frequently. Some of the more common ones are usually available.

It’s very affordable compared to one which you get from restaurants quality is good as well. For branding they have a talent to create homemade sweets, they advertise it through by sending out flyers or business cards who ever passed their shops, they also decorate the store properly inside and outside, they also put up a banner so that customers can easily find . For relationship they sell sweets at an affordable price and maintain quality to any kind of programs. For product devlopment added varieties of new, usual suspects like Rasgulla, Jalebi, GulabJamun, Halwa, Peda, Laddu, Rasmalai, etc.

For brabding are well known for their Rasgulla,Gulabjamun and Rasmalai which three are best for their good quality of milk which they import from Keranigoj in lower price then Dhaka for maintain quality and price. Mahan Chan grand sons In 2005 Mahan Chan grand sons step their foot in business of sweets, at began they started with basic sweets what see in regular sweet retailing shop. But with one year they became well known by local area, for their great taste and quality among competitors. Latter on they came up with varieties of same product but different taste and shape.

Present day they have four branches in four place in Dhanmondi, Ajimpur, Mirpur and Mhammodpur. . It’s very affordable compared to one which you get from restaurants quality is good as well. For branding they decorate each of their shop in a standard level so neat and clean. Relationship for their customer can rely on their catering services to make customer special occasion memorable. For branding and market development as well as product development they sell a good units of sweets to corporate level they can purchase sweet from a reputed suppliers but they does not do that for maintain quality. For survival aside from selling sweets, they also sell other items like drinking water, soft drinks, cake, and so on.

P2: Describe the limitations and constraints of marketing Limitation and constrains: A specified period during which, by statute, an action may be brought and a thing that limits or restricts something, or your freedom to do something. Limitation and constraints of marketing: Accurate, up-to-date information obtained by marketing research can be of enormous value to an organization in gaining and/or maintaining its competitive edge.

Product packaging design make them different and their gift box is exclusive . Market Development: A market development strategy targets non-buying customers in currently targeted segments. It also targets new customers in new segments.

The expansion of the total market for a product or company by entering new segments of the market, converting nonusers into users and increasing usage per user. Hordipod Mistanno Vandar to sell among local area and some events for not doing market development they earn average profit. Mahan Chan grand sons for developing the market they have good research on market place and promotion they open a shop three such a place where people think about good quality which they have, with average price and they situated their shop in huge shopping mall, education institution.

They get many contract form corporate office because of quality and their position . Branding: A brand is the set of expectations, memories, stories and relationships that, taken together, account for a consumer’s decision to choose one product or service over another. If the consumer doesn’t pay a premium, make a selection or spread the word, then no brand value exists for that consumer. D1: Evaluate the effectiveness of the use of techniques in marketing products in one organization. I am now going to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of marketing techniques used by Mahan Chan grand sons. Marketing techniques of Mahan Chan grand sons & its effectiveness: Here I am going to describe different marketing techniques of Mahan Chan grand sons and its effectiveness.

Product development : Mahan Chan grand sons well known for their pure Ghee, pure Ghee sweets, Rasmalai, yogurt and sugar free sweets for diabetic patient, these products make especial because they use pure ghee no adding of colors for producing good quality sweet need milk for which prices of product vary for maintaining price they buy milk from Manikgonj. They have many different types of sweet are well known to customer for which they are different. And their product are costly due to their better quality of sweet which are fresh and hygienic , also free form chemicals and color. They are these kinds of issues only to let old & new customer to know they can compete with other well known sweet shop in Dhaka. Mahan Chan grand sons is using appropriate marketing techniques of product development but they need to know about what other big sweet shop are doing in Dhaka or outside of Dhaka how they improving their product competing with others.

This is effective tool by using which Mahan Chan grand sons can reach its objective. Market Development: Mahan Chan grand sons for developing the market they have good research on market place and promotion they open a shop three such a place where people think about good quality which they have, with average price and they situated their shop in huge shopping mall, education institution.. They get many contract form corporate office because of quality and their position . They try to increases their distribution channels in level of peoples rich class to middle class .

If they try to increase their statistic and distribution channel they need to go out side of Dhaka such as Chittagong, Khulna specially main of other sight of country. By setting business in all division of Bangladesh Mahan Chan grand sons can reach its objective by using this tool then it will be effective. Branding: Mahan Chan grand sons special gift packet are well design with their name also they made a cake where they write their name on it.
