An Ironic Editorial Cartoon

“Let’s hope the asteroid’s impact is confined to the subprime mortgage area. ” These are the words spoken among several dinosaurs as a large asteroid is headed towards earth. Or, more accurately, they are the words of the dinosaurs within the frame of Tim Toles’ biting editorial cartoon. Upon first viewing, the cartoon does provoke immediate laughter.
