This online scholarly journal describes the perceptions of plastic surgery of medical students doing their rotations before residency. It highlights the main points of how medical students perceive plastic surgery, what percentage of them are interested in the field, and how their exposure to plastic surgery changed their outlook on medicine. This information is useful for my speech because it gives me the feel of how medical students perceive plastic surgery and what their feelings are about the topic. It gives me accurate information that is helpful in persuading my audience. This source is going to be used to help me give accurate information and statistics to my audience to inform them of the dangers of plastic surgery. It is up to date, being published in 2013 making it the most accurate source of information.

It highlights the main points of what plastic surgeries are used most and least often and the types of complications that can occur. This source is useful because it supplies me with factual information on what types of plastic surgery are used in traumatic events verses normal plastic surgery procedures people go through. This source is up to date with accurate information since it was published in 2012. It is going to help me understand the other side of plastic surgery and help me go into depth on my topic.

It highlights the main points of what types of issues patients go through before or after with testimonies, how patients should have a psychological assessment before going through a procedure, and the dissatisfaction that patients suffer from after a procedure. This source is useful to me because it helps me understand why plastic surgery is a problem, how it is dangerous to patients, and how it doesn’t always fix the underlying issue. It will help me use actual stories of people who have received plastic surgery. This source is up to date sine it was published in 2012.

This source is useful because it helps me understand the different procedures that surgeons perform and how plastic surgery become about. It will help me in knowing how certain procedures are done including recovery time and complications that can arise. While this source is a little outdated, being published in 1996, it still provides good information for my speech.

This source provides the harsh reality of how these procedures can give life threatening and long term effects to those who received these treatments.
